Cylinders in Pneumatic Controls
What cylinders do?
The Advantages of Pneumatic Drives
Pneumatic cylinders are working tools known as actuators, that translate the energy of compressed air into work. Where an electrical drive in the form of an electric motor is ideal for rotational drives, cylinder drives constitute the optimum solution for executing linear motion (linear drives) in both technical and economical terms. Such movements are normally complex and expensive to implement using electrical drives. Furthermore, pneumatic drives can handle pivoting movements of up to 360°. Pneumatic cylinders are not only relatively inexpensive and easy to install, they also come in simple, robust designs and in all different sizes. |
